2 day charge but really just one night

Why when i book a trip I have a checkin date  example lets say Feb 1st (usually 3pm or later chevkin) and check out date Feb 2nd ( check out by 11am) and i get charged gor 2 days..In actuality its not even 24 hours...At a hotel they charge you gor one night..This is really deceiving when looking at pricing because overnight at a hotel might cost fir example 100...And the same gir airbnb will be advertised as 100 a day but really its 200 a day....Could you please help me to understand the pricing?...Thanks

No they don't  - an STR it works exactly like a hotel you book for the night not the day .

so you can normally check in to an STR from the afternoon and out by the morning  - exactly as you would do had you booked a hotel

@John5288  If you've been charged for 2 nights, and you have a check-in date on one day and a check-out the following day, it's either a glitch or you are confused.

The host mentioned there was a glitch in the availability..But I swear the last night i booked i believe it was 118 per day..I checked in 22nd at 3 pm checked  out on 24 at 11 am was charged for 3 full days...then checked back in on the the 25th 3p.m. and check out on 26th at 11a.m. was charged for 2 days...

@John5288  They are nights booked, not days.

It sounds as if there was a glitch, but the only way to know that is to look on your reservation to see the number of nights booked- it appears as "3 nights x $xxx". You can't say you got charged for 3 nights when you only booked two simply based on what you thought the nightly rate was.

Your reservation will show the number of nights you were charged for and a breakdown of the additional charges for cleaning fees, taxes, and Airbnb service fees.

@John5288 It may be the cleaning fees and the airbnb service fee that effectively doubles the price.
