A local and trusted assisted living center booked a newly hired nurse with us for a month. I have never dealt with a “third party” booking before and apparently they hadn’t either. I made the mistake of trusting them and they made the mistake of trusting themselves too. The nurse ended up stealing things, smoking in the unit, etc. Who is liable for the damages? The booking was under the name of the HR person at the nursing home. I filed a report of the things that were stolen (we have most of it on camera). They want to meet with me in person on Monday. Thanks for any help.
@Jaxon5 Unfortunately and theoretically you are not covered for theft and damage etc unless the person who booked actually stayed. Hopefully, the Assisted Living Centre will pay for the stolen items and any damage. You may also want to suggest to them that for future bookings they should enrol in the ‘Airbnb for Work’ to cover both themselves and future hosts.
