Dear fellow Community Centre & Abb users across the miles here in Auckland, New Zealand where we are towards the end of summer and start of Autumn.
Soon it will be Spring & Summer in your parts of the world where the worst of Corona virus/ Covid19 has struck.
Make the most of eating healthy, cross off the dates on your calendars with a black marker pen and count the days towards summer and fresh summer fruit & vegetables to nourish one's soul and hopefully a light at the end of the tunnel to the disruptions we are all facing on a daily basis.
As a Host I've seen both sides of the equation with people from afar going through stressful times not knowing what to do and having travel plans, furthering their education, wedding plans and family reunions disrupted.
Reach out to those who have cancelled or postponed their travel and stays in your home as they to have stories and needs just like we do.
Those guests, some of whom are also Hosts, may be on their first overseas travel abroad like when we first traveled.
Sometimes we have to go backwards to go forwards in life.
Meanwhile, those who have created this disruptive pandemic must be held to account under international Courts of laws for breaches of everyone's basic Human Rights.
Be strong, hang in there and count one's blessings for what we have been blessed to have in our lives, including the joy our previous Guests and Hosts have given us.
All the Best

Hiya @Helen427 ,
Thanks for posting this! You know what, with being isolated it's a great time to get gardening! I wonder if you wanted to share some tips? It's strawberries and sweet pea sowing season in England!
Thanks
Thanks @Stephanie
That's a great idea for us all to share gardening tips as it's a healthy way to exercise when one is in isolation.
I'm not sure I'm the expert on strawberries as I've only tried growing them this year & as you know I spent some time in hospital so perhaps didn't have the crop I had hoped for.
Alas I do recall a job I did at school picking strawberries for a grower and had fun from time to time scoffing a few along the rows 🙂
Is there someone here either reading or in CC who is a strawberry grower?
How are you coping with the impacts of Coronavirus?
Have you noticed a surge in sales of strawberries?
We haven't had so many Sweet Peas this summer so maybe they have been dormant and will pop up next summer.
My Monarchs who knew the weather was chilling down a little are currently in hiding somewhere amongst the lavender so I await the joy they will bring when they turn into butterflies before flying off to meet someone else across the miles.
I make sure I use the shower water for my garden and that has helped keep it blooming over summer.
Photos of others gardens in here would bring happiness and inspiration to those who are unable to go out.
It's not time pick 'em @Helen427 , it's time to sow 'em!
In June/July it's pick your own fest with my nieces and nephews - strawbs, rasps, gooseberries, peaches and blueberries! Barely any make it into the house with the little 'uns scoffing them! Here's my latest hanging basket and the patio peach in blossom. And you can see the tulips coming up again!
@Helen427 @Lorraine @Stephanie, I recently put some spring onions in a vase so that they keep growing. Does this also count? :))
How's everything going over there?
