Airbnb has canceled three of my reservations, all the same sets of dates one after another. All for security reasons on guests part. The algorithm does seem to be working. The first guest booked for 16 adults and five infants. That did not look right. The second guest was sending erratic messages and I have a feeling was related to the first one. The third guest had 17 reviews but four of them mentioned smoking in the house. I was planning on canceling him myself anyway. While I’m glad Airbnb did the work for me, it did cause me some stress. I started to worry about having to cancel these people, doubting if I should etc. If they have such a high rate of bad reservations, shouldn’t they be screened before the booking is completed.
