Why does Airbnb not honor cancellation policies? I had a guest who reached out to me twice trying to cancel her reservation due to lack of snow. The guest had planned on going skiing. A few hours before check-in she cancelled the reservation and Airbnb refunded her in-full despite my strict cancellation policy. The guest claimed "covid" as her reason for cancellation to Airbnb. The responsibility should be on guests to take out travel insurance. According to Airbnb's own policy, sickness is not a justifiable reason to receive a refund.
