Airbnb taking my money

I had a booking not show up and not cancel, and now, with no communication, Airbnb is deducting over $1100 from my bank account and I have been completely unable to get ahold of anyone with Airbnb to discuss this.

It is without doubt the ABSOLUTE WORST Customer Service I have ever experienced in my 63 years.

Does anyone know of a way to actually contact someone at Airbnb?  Everything I try funnels me into chat hell, where I get the message "Airbnb Support will reply as soon as a specialist becomes available"

12 hours later I'm still waiting

@Bill1044  I've had more success by sending a direct message to @Airbnbhelp on Twitter.

Hi @Bill1044, so sorry to hear about this.  Have you had a chance getting in touch with them now?

Yes this also happened to me.  Guest cancelled a month long rental the day they arrived and I have a strict cancellation police that would not allow them to get a refund .

Airbnb then said I cancelled their reservation so they could give the guest their money back because they complained that another family member that came to stay was allergic to mold and that my townhome had mold. I have never had these complaints before or after this guest cancelled and yet Airbnb continues to take money out of my account until I meet the monthly refund of this guest adding up to $5300 .
This was not my fault and yet Airbnb never told me they were going to refund the guest on their own and then continue to take money from my account without even a discussion about it.

i have been a superhost for the last 10 years and remember when Airbnb used to look out for the host , not it seems at the slightest complaint they are allowing guests to take advantage of hosts. I don’t think this is fair. Now I’m going to have to take them to small claims court and it will be such a hassle to get the money back that they are stealing from me.
