Dear hosts,
Last weekend our guests, that were suppose to arrive on friday around noon by car from France, cancelled there booking the night before because of storm Eunice. We have the 5 days before arrival cancellation terms. Now, after we received part of the payment the guests ask back the full amount from us because they say they couldnt come because of the weather.
We are curious hat you would do? Pay back the full amount we received (70%), pay back partial of pay back nothing.
Kind regards,
Sigrid (Netherlands)

1. The guest has the option to cancel by an "extenuating circumstance" (if they consider storm "Eunice" is such a circumstanceI) and maybe get full refund. After sending documentation Airbnb will review the claim. Offcourse it is the responsibility of the guest to be informed and act properly when cancelling: https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/1339/canceling-a-trip-due-to-extenuating-circumstances
2. Guest can try to claim the lost expenses at their travel insurrance policy.
As you can see guests have other options to claim for (more) refund.
You are not responsible for travel issues of the guest.
Thanks Emiel for your reaction.
