Assistance for firefighter fighting cancer/Seattle

Hello,

We have a friend who is a firefighter who has been battling cancer for years-a very rare and aggressive type. He's finally been okayed for a stem cell transplant in Seattle, but his insurance doesn't pay for the stay. A friend who is an airbnb host suggested we try asking here-is there anyone willing to help out for this type of situation? He and his wife would need somewhere to stay in Seattle August 10th for about 3 months. Any advice on how to get him help? Thank you for any guidance!

Have you used the search box with word Seattle here in CC to see if there's any hosts who may be able to assist?
Also as @William810  suggests use Airbnb main site where you can narrow down places to find somewhere suitable.

@Paige203  Sorry about your friend, but are you really expecting that an Airbnb host should offer free housing for 3 months to a total stranger? 

What people do in my area if someone needs financial help for medical reasons is set up a fund that friends, family, or anyone else can contribute to.
