Why can't I add new "places" to my local Guidebook?

Why can't I add new "places" to my local Guidebook?

I have created a nice guidebook but all of a sudden the software program will not allow me to save any new "places" such as cafes etc that I want to add. I can add a "Neighborhood" but not a place. Any ideas on why this is so?  I thought it might be because of the webpage of a particular place not being secure but that is not it.  The places ARE showing up in the drop down menu also so I am flumoxed...thanks in advance for your help!
