Booking requests

More recently the person booking the Airbnb unit does not arrive and has booked it for friends or family. 

What is the Airbnb ruling here as anybody can book for anybody!.

It is a third party booking and Airbnb doesn’t support it. If you want you can contact Abb and tell them to cancel without any penalties for you. You are allowed to host them if you want.

That's the rule:

"We require all personal travel reservations to be booked by the guests themselves"
