Hi, I have recently had a guest who booked for a month and then when I accepted the booking she told me it was for her friend. Has anyone else had something like this happen?

It's a third party booking @Daniel8987. Not advisable to accept them, for many reasons. You can contact Airbnb and ask them to void the booking with no penalty to you, based on that fact. Direct the guest to have the person who actually wants to stay to set up their own profile and book your place.

I would never accept a third party booking for that long a period.

Remind the person who booked that third party booking are against Airbnbs T&Cs and that if her friend wants to book they can do so directly.
