Can you pay yourself to clean or to mow the grass? How much will the IRS allow?

Can you pay yourself to clean or to mow the grass? How much will the IRS allow?

Sometimes we have to clean our rental ourselves.  I've heard hosts/owners can add what they pay themselves to the cleaning receipts of their regular cleaners.  How much does the IRS allow?  Also, I do all the lawn maintenance for the property.  If I hired it out, it would cost $70 per week.  I'm pretty sure the IRS isn't going to allow me to claim $70 per week for ME to do my own lawn.  Again, how much will the IRS allow?  Thanks.

@Jim1642 If you think this through then you will achieve nothing I am afraid.

Your revenue 1000

Costs          200

Tax to be paid on 800

Revenue 1000

Your earnings 50 for cutting the grass

Your costs 250

Total earnings = 1050

Total costs = 250

Tax to be paid on 800

@Jim1642   Your income from your rental property cannot be reduced by “paying yourself”.  You can charge for the cost of your cleaning supplies, the mower and the gas it guzzles and the mileage on your car if you drive the trash to the dump.  Talk to a tax professional.
