I have a guest who booked last year but a few weeks before arrival decided to cancel. He was not ill, his flight was not cancelled and there were no country isolation regulations. My usual policy is no refund a few days before arrival but as in the spirit of the time l decided to give him 50% back. Then l realised he was covered by the new Airbandb coronavirus policy and should get it all. He thought he was not covered l told him to contact Airbandb. I did so myself to understand if they would give him all the money or the 50% agreed. Airbandb first said my conditions took priority , when l pointed out their policy they changed to a full refund and recently they have put all the money into my account . What to do? I don’t want to transfer money to the account of a stranger from my bank. During this the woman coming the week after cancelled and air bandb gave her 100% refund
@Annette230 whatever you do don't send money outside of Airbnb. If you do there is every likelihood the guest will get refunded twice (when Airbnb get their act together)
@Annette230 To send a guest money, you use the Resolution Center "Send Money" option. Since you have already been paid for the reservation, I would get it in writing from Airbnb that they haven't actually refunded the guest and will claw back what they paid you from future reservations, before sending any money.
