Generally unemployment is reserved for employees, not self employed or contract employees.  However, there is some talk about how companies like Air BNB and Lyft, Uber are trying to get some compensation.  So far I haven't seen it actually coming through.  If you are a professional property manager and have a business, it might be possible to get a small business loan.

Worth watching... we are not salons but this guy is remarkably helpful.  He has read the new legislation twice!  All 800 pages.

We can now file for unemployment as independent contractors as long as we have our earning statements

Hi,

In filing for unemployment, should I enter my name/phone/address as the last employer?

Did you get an answer? the application made me enter an employer. I entered air bnb but that is wrong. What is everyone else doing? It wouldn’t let me put “self”.
