Credit Expiration Date - before or including that day?
Hey there!
I've been a Superhost for a few years in a row and each year received 100$ credit as a reward.
The credit Expiration date is today, the 18th of April 2020.
My understanding was that I can use it until the end of the 18th, but I was wrong, I could have used it until the end of the 17th and therefore lost a 100$.
Support wouldn't extend it even by a day, which is very disappointing.
My question:
Is it just me who assumed that?
Was I the only person in the world who made that mistake?
when I have coupons or vouchers they are usually valid through the Expiration date.
Doesn't it make sense to mention it in the terms of the credit, for (apparently stupid) people like me?
"Expiartion date is END OF DAY 17th April 2020", for example.
I'd love your thoughts and comments, even if they mean thay I am indeed, stupid 😉
Thanks!
Ori

I don't think you are stupid at all, @Ori6 . The 18th is usually the 18th, but I wouldn't know whether it's noon or midnight or 5 pm or what on the 18th. I have to say that I would never wait until the very last day to test a coupon expiry, especially when it's a global platform and time zones are involved.
Sad for you that you have lost your $100 voucher. I know that's little comfort.

I actually set a reminded a week earlier and forgot 🙂
After writing this post, I thought - what the hell, I tried to use the voucher and it worked!
in other words - the support representative mislead me, which is very unusual.
Im sure he could have seen that the voucher is STILL valid but he kept saying he cant extend it, instead of telling me - "yea, you have until midnight today, the 18th, to use it".
This proves that the expiration date of a voucher or coupon are indeed the END of the day mentioned in the T&C. I wouldnt wait until the very last day as you mentioned, but in my case I discovered it lat minute.
Thanks for the sympathy @Lawrene0 !
Have a nice day 🙂
Ori (no idea where the "6" came from or how to change it hehe)

You can't change the "6", Ori. Those are automatically assigned. No worries -- it doesn't show up to guests. It is just a user name here in the forum.
Glad your voucher worked after all. Thanks for following up. Others may have the same question, and you have answered it!
