Customer Service not returning call

Customer Service not returning call

Hello,

I am reaching out to you in a last ditch effort to have someone return a phone call to me. My fiancé and I booked a home though you that was completely and utterly falsely advertised. We have left numerous messages from the minute we got to the property and had been taken by old photos and some creative photography of the property that only included photos of the main property and not the “villa” that would be more considered servant quarters with a run down couch in the tiny living area with short ceilings that made it feel claustrophobic. The bedrooms were so small the beds basically took up the whole space of that area. The living space was possibly 10x10 with a very old tv cabinet, and the before mentioned broke down couch. The entry way trellis was so rotted and deteoriating it had to be braced up by some wood that had been there so long it was not rotting. The photos depicted a property in the country by itself that offers a beautiful nature setting. What we found was a home in a sub division that had been there for quit some time with a bike/walking path in the front yard that we saw people walking though the yard. There was a fence on the other side of the bike bath that restricted you from going and experiencing all that nature has to offer that the ad misleads you to think. We immediately called to try to get assistance as we had frozen and perishable food in the back of our truck for the weeks stay, as we are Insurance adjusters here working to help people get their homes back together from a disaster. We were told that we would get a phone call back within the hour to help get us another place to stay and after review our photo documentation we would be refunded a full amount. Two days after that phone call in the middle of the night I get a message in my email stating they will not refund my money because they did not find the ad fraudulent. The main photo itself is false with the documentation I showed them with the house being surrounded by houses and the path in the yard. We could have rented an entire house for less money but chose to stay here for the experience that the photos and description lead us to believe we would have where we could work in peace in getting these enormous estimates together for these homeowners that have had their homes completely destroyed by the frozen pipes from the recent storm. Now we are displaced staying at a high school friends home sleeping on a couch while working 18-20 hours a day without any answer on a payment refund or another place to stay that we were still interested in finding with your company still. We need some help! Why wont anyone call us back? Why have we been promised on at least 7-10 occasions that we would have a phone call within 5 minutes to a hour and never have receive the first initial call? Will you please help us?

@Brittany347 This is a community forum not customer services. Try contacting airbnb via Twitter. They generally do not like bad publicity.

@Brittany347  Airbnb is known for never calling back. As advised, contact them through Twitter or through the messaging function. Calling seems to be the worst way to try to work with customer service.

Hi @Brittany347,

I'm really sorry to hear about the experience you've had.

I have inquired the Support team about your case and they said that it's been updated. They should be getting in touch with you soon.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other concerns.

Thanks,

Liv
