DOGE and AirBnB

I will be deactivating my account, and encouraging everyone I know to do so as well until AirBnB board aligns itself with the values it proclaims to support. Having one of your co-founders assisting the dismantling of the US Democracy is appalling. You'll need to do more than just claim he is doing it personally - you'll need to remove him or get him to remove himself from DOGE. I

I completely agree. I've been a loyal an AirBnB  "frequently flyer" for a decade. I have upcoming commitments with AirBnB hosts abroad that I will honor, yet I am planning more upcoming travel abroad early summer and again in the fall for 2 months, and I have already found local alternatives outside of AirBnb. Before this turn of events, I wouldn't have considered looking elsewhere.

Users care deeply about the personal choices company stakeholders make. When you are a public figure, personal IS business. I'm "shopping local" now, and I encourage current hosts to move to a less controversial platform. AirBnB has lost nearly 6K of revenue from me personally in the last 24 hours; I'm sure the trend will continue with current users.

And on top of this, I have actually written twice to board members (late Februrary and early March) and nobody from AirBNB has replied. I have two more bookings in early April and when those are finished, I will also be deactivating my account.  He is still a member of the board and AirBnB in their denial and silence is complicit with DOGE actions. 

There are other possibilites out there instead of AirBnB.

  Chesky made contributions to both the Hillary and Kamala campaigns. Maybe  both the right and left get off the platfom, yeah?  That'll show 'em.
