Destroyed unit

Hi guys! I’m a superhost in Dallas. I wanted to post this just as a heads up to other hosts/property owners  in the Dallas metroplex. My neighbor recently rented out his unit on another short term rental site to a woman that goes by the pseudoname of Lucy Summer on platforms. She’s in her mid 30’s. She completely destroyed his unit. The last thing she said was she leaving and found an Airbnb to stay at.

So we’re scared another fellow host is housing her under another name or maybe even the same one. It’s so sad there are people like this in the world. This is a complete short term rental nightmare.

I am so sorry to hear that, so sadly and understand your neighbors are feelings frustrated.

Thank you for sharing. Hope Airbnb hosts beware of the “ unwanted guest”, especially in the nearby neighborhood.

OMG 😮

Hosts, don't be naive, you should request ID from your guests. GDPR or not, you must know who has the key to your property. You should be able to tell the police your guest's names. In many countries this is mandatory.

This is both horrific and impressive. Not naming any names, but I think I know who this guest is...and I had all of her albums in the 90s.

This is why AIRBNB Needs to require people hold up their ID next to their faces. Good grief, she could very well be booking under different names. When my social media was hacked Instagram verified me by asking me to prove my identity. Not just a driver's license but a DL held up to my face (or a passport) to prove I was the same person. How hard is that? Otherwise, guests should be required to show ID to hosts before check-in.

ummmmm.... one person would have to be bionic, I think, to consume that many substances on their own and survive it, so I'm going to go with, "hey hosts, it's a really good idea to keep a close enough eye on your property to know if your home is hosting a rave." and yeah, get real ID from your guests

Are those paints and painting supplies all over the kitchen counter?

I think the whole thing was an art installation 🙂 "Guest from Hades in Blue and Grey #5".

Seriously, though, poor host.

I hope they have reported he to the authorities.

There's plenty of items there that can be fingerprinted.

That's a massive amount of syringes

I agree with @Helen427@Celyn455, that this is a matter for the police as well as a hosting nightmare...
