A host issued me a payment through the airbnb platform for some items i purchased on their behalf that were not at the rental but should have been. I received a notification of the payment 1 month ago but to-date havent received it. I have called airbnb customer service twice. The first time they said it was with my bank and i should receive it in a few days. The second time they said i need to resolve it with my bank. I spoke to my bank and they have no record of the credit. I spoke to the host and they sent me the confirmation email they received from airbnb of the debit to their account (for the payment they issued me). I setup a different payout method just to be safe, but airbnb says the credit should be issued to the sale card i made the payment on. Since this has all happened, airbnb has charged that same card (for the same rental, it was a multi month rental), so it isnt my card. Im at a loss for how to get help. I dont receive a response when i message airbnb. Each time i call customer service is a 45 min-1 hour wait time. Im calling again today, but want to see if anyone has any other suggestions. Trying to be patient but this seems a bit ridiculous.
@Hannah721 Try to message them on their Twitter account. Said to get better, faster results. And ask your host if they would please kindly contact Airbnb to ask why they are hanging on the money they sent a month ago that was supposed to go to their guest. If I sent money to a guest and Airbnb was sitting on it for a month, making BS excuses, I'd be livid.
We all need to sue them. Every incident, every country. I'm so over it
