Dual listing with Homeaway

Hi,

I am not terribly happy with AirBnB’s treatment of hosts with their Extenuating Circumstance policy which is great for guests but gives no real compensation or thought to hosts.

Are Airbnb hosts able to dual list with alternate providers such as Homeaway and is it easy to manage the respective calendars as I move more AirBnB’s business towards them?

Any help here is much appreciated.

@Simon374 It is possible and Homeaway will actually create the listing for you. Its easy also to synchronise the calendars.

The negatives: You will, by definition, have less success on each platform and so may drop down the search results on each platform. Homeaway also don't help new entrants hence you will be well down their search results early on. Finally, if I remember rightly, its quite difficult to synchronise the pricing as Homeaway don't charge the guests but charge the hosts more so if you vary your pricing a lot it becomes painful.

While airbnb has It's problems, I don't plan to leave. I have my apartments at other plataforms and in the nine months since I started to rent 98% of my bookings came from airbnb 2% from booking.com. Never got a reservation form the others. I have got a few guests contact me on homeaway, but it is always to request a discount.
