Deaths due to covid with no comorbidity had to be adjusted way, way, WAAAY down! Surprised? You shouldn’t be. If you’re not angry yet about having your thriving hosting business forced into to lockdown and/or restricted, and your voice censored, it can only mean you’re not paying attention.

To fully appreciate this moment you’d have to go back six months to a locked post from March. How many do you count from “group 2” as being present? Since you did not require any proof to believe in/push a faux pandemic, will any amount of evidence to the contrary be sufficient?

I trust people to think for themselves when given the opportunity and equipped with the truth.

@Mike323 I don't think your figure is entirely relevant. Many people in the population have co-morbitities. Boris Johnson even had one (obesity) and yet had he died from Corona Virus it would certainly have been due to the virus not the obesity. My point is that having a co-morbidity doesn't stop the death being caused by a virus.

Yeah, spot on Mike, having pneumonia sort of guarantees you will die of COVID-19 if it come anywhere near you. It's just a matter of what is the greater of the two evils!

I think this virus will have a great lasting effect here in Australia.....it will clean up the aged residential care facility industry.

More than 3/4 of Australia's  COVID-19 deaths have come from aged care communities  and the reasons for this have been highlighted by the total lack of responsibility and preparedness the owners of these aged care facilities have shown. They all live in the best suburbs and drive the fanciest cars because they charge residents $3,000 each a month to be housed in accommodation that resembles little better than pet boarding facilities.

Most of these facilities will have one registered nurse looking after more than 50 elderly residents. The domestic staff are rostered from one facility to another, have a rudimentary knowledge of the English language  and are not trained in epidemiological requirements to cover even a greater than normal flue season let alone a pandemic situation!

Aged care in Australia has been shown to be a complete shambles......and they have been able to get away with this because of the lack of Federal Government mandated guidelines.

Of course nobody is going to take responsibility for this situation but, it's a good bet a highly regulated set of minimum standards will now be set in place in order to be a licenced aged care provider....and that can only be a good thing! 

The Federal government has been shamed into some sort of action here!

Rather than mock @Mike323 , you may want to consider the direct link between obesity and serious illness/complications/death from covid.  Yet, zero discussion of this in the US by our "leaders".  Rather, politicians have insisted the populace stay INDOORS AT HOME, avoid outdoor exercise (there have been bans on jogging *alone* in many places!), and encourage consumption of lots and lots of (highly taxable) liquor.  Misplaced priorities?   Absolutely.  There is even a laughable meme called the "quarantine 15" or "quarantine 50" = how much weight I gained watching netflix and eating crap during the lockdown.  Hey, netflix is happy about it!!  Politicians avoid all discussion of overall health during a pandemic, brilliant!!  (sarc)
