In my neighborhood in Austin, there is a company called UrbanStay that is going around, spending millions buying up a bunch of houses, and turning them into party houses that look and are marketed like clubs. They are specifically marketing them to parties of 15+ people on instagram and their own website:

I've been reporting them, but nothing every happens. It seems Airbnb is not very motivated to put a stop to these, but they should be!
I am a super host of a place in rural Hudson Valley, NY. Across the Hudson Valley, regulations are being enacted to cutdown on Airbnb's citing places like Austin's rampant corporatization of neighborhoods. I was taking part in a battle in a small town that was trying to shut down our small airbnb (which there are no parties at, just quiet couples escaping NYC) and they specifically cited Austin as a reason they need regulations.
Airbnb needs to have an aggressive stance towards these types of corporate hosts building party houses that create huge neighborhood disturbances, and also create knock-on effects of stricter regulations being enacted across the country because of a few abusive and greedy corporatists.
