Getting a septic tank and well installed at my farm in preparation for a cabin

Hello,

Does any one have any advice or recommendations on getting a septic tank installed on my farm plus a well for water supply? Contractors and approximate costs for each would be really helpful. I'm hoping to get a small cabin in the next few months. Location is Ennis, Texas.

Thanks

Tara

I would just get two or three quotes from local suppliers @K119

@K119 this world-wide forum is not a good one for this question.  Try Yelp, Angie's List, NextDoor...

Welcome to ABB CC from a fellow host in New Zealand.

Have you applied for local Council Consent?

Do you know if there's any existing bores/ wells anywhere on the property?

Maybe check out listings or those who have posted from in the area here in CC searchbox where they are in your rural area and msg them to see if they can provide any recommendations of suppliers.

Have you investigated if you will be able to access internet services?
Some regions to this day don't have access or provisions for it so that is also something to factor into account.

All the best for your new venture.

You should also look at your local bylaws for permits.  We had to have township building permits.  Granted we had the contractor take care of it.  Also, don't forget the talk to your property insurance company  if even to let tjem know if it's an upgrade.  Not sure about wells in your area  but we do monthly well tests for e-coli and bacteria to make sure the water is safe to drink.
