Anyonw knows a cleaning company who can clean after guest leave in windsor ontario in Canada
I had a guest for 3 nights, they did not mention a pet or bringing a pet. I have a no pet rule as well. When I went to clean there was hay and poop everywhere! It a 1300 square foot place there was probably over a hundred poop pellets. I asked the guest after seeing this if he had an animal here and he said yes a bunny, “or a pet fee?”. After he left! I don’t exactly know what to do. I can leave a bad review and maybe ask for damage refund? I can’t tell if there is damage yet other than a massive amount of vacuuming and possibly carpet cleaning. Has anything similar happened to anyone?!! I’ve been a host for years and nothing similar to this has ever happened.
I am always suprised what kind of rediculous behaviour some guests are showing, IMO this is a new one... And a bunny does also pee.....which i guess brings even more damage
Be sure yo make picture before cleaning everything and file a claim for damage.

@Andrea598 , "did not mention a pet or bringing a pet", thats an understatement! Im so sorry the guest was so inconsiderate as to fail to mention they would be bringing one or that they would let it use your floor as a bathroom. You should check out every electrical cord in the home and make sure the little crapper didnt chew the insulation off any of them, rabbits will do that and right down to the wire, vwerhy dangerous! Unfortunately your probably not gonna get a dime from Airbnb for pet damage. Take pics, report and write a proper review that makes sure they never get to surprise another host with their farm critter again. Stay well, JR
If bunny nibbled all the way to the copper wiring, there would at least be one advantage: the pooping would stop instantly.....
@Emiel1 , you would think so wouldnt you? Its not so, I have no idea how they don't become fried rabbit but they can strip i the cover off both conductors without becoming part of the circuit (I cant say the same for myself, Ive been shocked so many times in my career 110 volts doesnt usually bother me much anymore)! Ran into it many times with TV and VCR repairs when I was a apprentice in the 80's. I did service calls where I would literally find every cord in the living room stripped bare in places and the bunny hopping around like its NBD! Crazy stuff! JR
@Andrea598 careful.... last I read it the ABB ToS specifically disallow any payments for pets... so definitely make a claim for extra cleaning, but I'd blame it on the humans instead of an animal. And yes, @Melodie-And-John0 is right, you must check all your exposed cords. Bunny snack food those are!
In truth, pet damage is the fault of the humans- the animal is just doing what it does according to its nature- the humans are supposed to be in control of the animal. @Kelly149
I did have a guest bring a rabbit once, @Andrea598 , but it was declared ahead of time. I advised against it as we are in the woods here, but didn't say no. I expect the rabbit had a terrible night if the local coyotes were howling, but it made no mess at all. It had a crate.
I have seen the mess rabbits can make, though, and I feel for you. How awful! What did you decide to do in the end?
I just posted a similar story here in this group. were you able to get anywhere with resolutions? In my case ( an undisclosed dog guest), airbnb told me that they are not responsible for pursing damage by vermin or arbitrary fees. I'm really at a loss - with mental anguish and money over their response.
Airbnb don't refer to dogs as vermin anywhere in their T&C . Not sure where you got that idea.
What they do say is that Airbnb don't cover Pet damage under their guarantee @Emily-And-Virginia0
Is that what you are referring to?
if a guest brings in an undisclosed pet you can ask them to leave immediately.
@Helen3 A clueless CS rep told @Emily-And-Virginia0 that Airbnb consider dogs 'vermin'.
@Andrea598 I would write the following review:
GUEST was pleasant but did not communicate well or follow house rules. We had to do X hours of additional cleaning due to an undisclosed animal that GUEST brought into our space. We do not recommend to other hosts unless they are pet friendly for non-house trained animals.
