Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new. 

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘

@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲

Hi.

Thank you for welcoming me into this community.

Our accommodation is an apartment in the center of Faro, Algarve, with 1 suite with private bathroom, 1 bedroom, kitchen, living room, bathroom, 2 terraces and a private garage. We can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests and will soon be providing bicycles so guests can explore the city or go to the beach. The apartment is a 10-minute drive from the airport and can also be an option for exploring other areas of the Algarve.

Hi my name is Jacqueline most people call me Jackie. I was born in Jamaica 🇯🇲 loves to travel ✈️now lives in Sunny South Florida.  Love to sing and dance not good at any of them 😂😂 use to read a lot then life took over.   I volunteer at my churches and clothing, household item, toys and other stuff that I send to a church inJamaica that help families in needs.  Love going to the movies ( don’t get to go as often as I want to).  Love to cook enjoy eating.  My accommodation is centrally located it’s close to the beach, the Hard Rock Casino and Biscayne national Park, but even with all that it’s so quiet and peaceful there.

Hi! My name is Julie and I’ve been hosting for a couple months now. Still trying to figure everything out to maximize our calendar. My rental is at Lake Cushman in Washington state. We use it as a family vacation house, we love the lake and all the hiking areas around!

I Just have 2 booking so far for my entire unit, and 2 booking on the private room.

I'm sorry to hear that you're not getting enough bookings. If you’d like to understand whether this is due to a slow season, I recommend connecting with hosts from your area and asking them about it 👉 Local Host Clubs. 

I also suggest requesting a listing critique, it might be that you need to optimize your listing, and other hosts can provide valuable advice 👉 How to ask for listing critique on the Community Center.

My name is Karen and we have to cabins in Gustavus, Alaska at the entrance of Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. We call ourselves Glacier Bay Getaway Cabins, The Spruce Tip and The Yarrow's Nest. 

We love anything having to do with outdoor adventures and travel. We are relatively new to the vacation rental business and hope to learn from this community how we can stand out as the best place to stay. Vacationers that travel to Alaska often travel to many communities, I hope to connect with other host in Alaska. 

We also hope to tap into the local market to host workers traveling through our remote community.
