Hello Airbnb Community,
I have some serious problem with the guest called "Dennis **" from Nairobi lived in Germany/Swetzerland.
Some background info:
I have listed my space in May 14, 2022.
He supposed to visit my home on first day but decided to stay at my place. Then he didn't have money in his account and his relatives(parents) was not supporting him with the money.
It was very late So I let him stay without any booking as he said he didn't have any place to sleep at night. It was very unpleasant to stay one UNKNOWN guy to sleep at your home.
Then next day he requested me to give some special offer for his stay and he will pay me on 26th. I have the written agreement for this. Next day, he said he would pay on 27th instead then ,30, 31 and then he left my apartment. I have a soft agreement with him where he agreed to pay me the rent for the days he stayed. He still didn't pay me the rent.
He checkout on 31st May. Initially he was saying that he was just going out and need his passport but later when we call the police, he said he had a flight and he checkout one day before (He already stay one night before without booking). he stayed from 14th but the booking started from 15th May.
Now I have involved Airbnb but not getting help rather simple response that they have contacted the guest with every means but they are not getting any response from him.
Now I have contacted Airbnb as well but they said that they need confirmation from the Guest but I have provided enough information to them.
My question is how am I cover with AirCover? Its seems that Airbnb is also not supporting as expected. They just let these defaulters to hurt the hosts.
Also whom to contact in the higher management from Airbnb to cover this loss? Any other way I should try?
