Guests avoiding bad reviews

Noisy, disrespectful of rules, broken furniture . Totally lied about how many guest and reason for stay. It was not to celebrate mother’s birthday, it was a house party. Neighbors calling all through the night.

this has happened before, Airbnb review system stinks! If they don’t respect house, neighbors etc. all they have to do is NOT leave a review of me and NOTHING gets published, as in my review doesn't get published, I have the feeling that this is becoming a serial offence. So DONT take people with no reviews, Airbnb DOES NOT have your  back. They just go onto the next rental, and get away with it.

I would love to talk to Airbnb, but how the hell do you do that? I am so over this!

Huh? If the waiting period has passed your review will show up in the guests profile even if they don't write one for you. The only time you'd ever see your input about a guest on your listing, unless you use an addon, is when you can "Leave Public Feedback" about a review. So wait the 14 days, go to the profile in question and have a look.

I haven’t found this to be the case, but will investigate. How do I go to the guest in questions reviews to see if my review is there?

@Sue219  I'm amazed that you don't know how to see a guest's reviews. You don't look at their reviews when they book? If that's the case, I'm not surprised you are getting these bad guests. How do you vet them?

You just click on the guest's profile and all the reviews are there. But they aren't necessarily in chronological order, so you may have to scroll down to find the review of them you wrote.

You misunderstand. This is people who have no reviews. I am talking about Checking to see my review has been posted on their profile after their booking. Tell me how I do that?

@Sue219  All you have to do is click on the user's profile, which you can access directly from the booking itinerary as well as the correspondence thread in your inbox. If they don't post a reciprocal review, yours will not appear until the 14-day period from the checkout date has elapsed.

Am I correct in assuming that somebody else has been managing the Airbnb listing on your behalf most of the time? If other hosts seem perplexed by your post, it's probably because these are really basic features that it seems someone as experienced as you would surely already know about.

No @Sue219 doesn't misunderstand at all. Follow her instructions. @Sue219 @ I didn't reply because I though this was a bored troll in lockdown. I'm unsubscribing.

Thanks to those of you who helped. The review has showed up but latter than the 14 days. Please keep your words kind Jim. This is a stressful time for a lot of people.

@Sue219  FYI the 14 day review period starts from exactly the time you receive the first notification to leave a review., not necessarily your check-out time. That's not to say it couldn't have appeared later than that- there's all sorts of tech glitches on Airbnb.
