Guests book our large property, have a party against rules, get kicked out and get a full refund?

So let me get this straight.  If we have a guest who books our property and agrees to our rules that there shall be no parties, there is an occupancy limit of X, and a parking limit for Y vehicles.  If the guests proceeds to throw a party and the host has them removed, they are entitled to a full refund?

@Tina6782 you will get paid for the night the guest has stayed there but the guest will be refunded for the remainder of the stay.

@Tina6782  Unfortunately, yes. As another person said they will get refunded for the nights in which they didn't stay. Is this fair? Absolutely not. If they damaged the property in any way as a result of the party you can make a claim for that, but if the home is ok, you will just have to count your losses.

I went to look at your listing, but it looks like it is no longer there, so I can't really comment on whether the wording accurately reflected the rules. The best thing you can do moving forward is just be as upfront and clear as possible with guest. Keep in mind, a lot of guest don't read the rules or the entire listing, even though they are agreeing to things within it. I always ask them to please review the rules in my welcome message, then when I greet them, I again reiterate the important rules (Only guest in the booking are aloud, no smoking, etc) This seems to help quite a bit.

Hopefully things go better for you moving forward. Happy hosting.

Yes, a huge shortfall of Airbnb and a big reason why guests feel entailed to do what they do.
