Guests calling directly

I just got a call from a potential guest who left a voice mail asking me to call to answer some questions.  I don't want to make a habit of chatting with potential guests by phone.  I'm too busy.  Is this common?

@Kay1366 they will almost certainly be wanting to deal direct and save the Airbnb fees. Probably best just to answer messages. Not sure how the guest has your phone number if they haven't already booked.

Our Airbnb is in the middle of our animal sanctuary so I’m sure they got it that way. I just didn’t know if this was a common occurrence because I definitely do not want to be having multiple phone calls. Thank you for responding!

Definitely don't call @Kay1366 and as @Mike-And-Jane0 suggests, just message through the Airbnb inbox that you got her voicemail and would be happy to answer any questions in the messaging system.  And no, it's not common that they can call, and they shouldn't have your number before booking.  They must have done some internet digging to get it.
