Guests left puke on the floor

Hello community! This is my first real issue and I'm looking for help. I had a group of 16 20-somethings stay in my house the last 2 days. The first night in I got a noise complaint from them. They were responsive and communicative throughout the issue and all seemed to be well.

Well, they left today. I went into the house to check it out while the cleaners were cleaning and...have never seen it so dirty. Sand was EVERYWHERE (the house is beachfront) as if they took a bucket and dumped it on the floor. Trash, empty bottles, etc. I mean, it wasn't trashed really, but I can't believe it was as bad as it was after 2 days.

The kicker is when I went upstairs and the cleaners told me there was a giant pile of puke in the main bathroom. They didn't even bother to clean it up. Linens in the house are optional (it's a South Carolina thing) but still, no attempt. I was horrified.

How do I rate them? Do I publicly discuss the issue? Give them 3 stars for cleanliness and privately message them without a mention of it? I'm torn. They were young kids and generally responsive considering the noise issue, but wow, leaving puke on the floor?

Please help!

Can you explain this? "The kicker is when I went upstairs and the cleaners told me there was a giant pile of puke in the main bathroom. They didn't even bother to clean it up. Linens in the house are optional (it's a South Carolina thing) but still, no attempt."

What do linens have to do with it? You would have expected the guests to clean up puke with towels and sheets? Of course they should have made an attempt to clean it up, but do you leave any cleaning supplies? If there are no mops, pails, or rags available to guests, I'm not sure what you would have expected them to use to clean up.

Of course, responsible adults would have contacted you to fess up and ask where to locate cleaning supplies, but if you don't leave any in evidence, I'd suggest you should.
