Guests stayed one night instead of two

Hi,

These guest were booked for two nights and they ended up staying for one night.

I received a phone call in the morning that they had changed their plans and will be checking out that morning.

She mentioned that it was a beautiful place and thanked me.

As a new host I am not sure what to do. Am I to refund for the night they didn't stay?

@William810   A one-night stand that pays for multiple nights doesn't sound all that bad for hosts, but of course one must handle the linens carefully and make sure the mattress didn't get flipped.

@Leslie682  I agree, no refund is warranted here, and it's best that you don't even bring up that word. Personally, what I would do is first inspect the RV, and if everything looks good, I'd write back to thank them for their stay and suggest that they're welcome to a "returning guest" discount if they'd like to have a longer stay next time. (Statements like this are non-binding, but a great final impression would be a big boost to your very first review).

Plans change. It doesn't have to mean anything. Someone invited them to stay. They decided to go to a different city . . . I travel a lot and sometimes have to cut a trip short. You don't have to do anything. No refund is owed for the unused night and it doesn't appear they are asking for one.
