Host cancelled our confirmed booking due to Covid 19 but still haven’t received our refund.

Good day,

Our host cancelled our booking 48 hours  prior to our arrival due to Covid-19. However we are yet to receive our refund. They said that they would cancel the booking from their side but never did. After numerous calls and WhatsApp messages we still in the same situation. Please advise what else we are able to do to resolve this issue. Tks xxx

@Lindsay334 It appears you have been massively let down by the host not cancelling properly. Whether this was intentional or not who knows!

Do you have any proof of the host cancelling on Airbnb messages? If not then it could get quite difficult.

Is the host no longer communicating?

If they are not you should let the host know that, as a minimum, you will write a review exposing their poor behaviour.

Lets hope others have some ideas as well.
