Host support package extension

@Airbnb - how is it fair that you keep unilaterally extending the 'extenuating circumstances' policy for guests, giving them 100% back when they cancel, yet they haven't extended their 'host support package'? Currently the extenuating circumstances policy runs for bookings up to 1 August, yet the host support ended for bookings before 31 May. How long is this going to continue?

@Miriam321 As far as I can see Airbnb's only reason for continually extending the date for cancellations is to manage their cash flows. As a result it just means hosts calendars are blocked until much nearer the date and hence its unlikely that the dates can get rebooked.

Perhaps Airbnb could do a little sum that will show that this policy is actually damaging them as well given that the refunded money will not be replaced and hence their income will end up down overall compared to what it would be if they just allowed a time-limited cancellation for all bookings this year.

Thanks @Mike-And-Jane0 - agreed. The message I am getting from @Airbnb is that they were happy to support hosts during the beginning of the pandemic 'when hosts needed the assistance most'. Hosts seem to be fine from 31 May apparently, good to know they understand our individual financial circumstances!
