How do you communicate with your guests?

Communication with guests is key in providing a great hosting experience. We'd love to hear about your preferences and strategies when it comes to interacting with your guests 🗣

Are you more of a social butterfly? Do you enjoy engaging in conversations and building a connection with your guests? Perhaps you even show them around your local area. Do you prefer to maintain a more reserved approach, giving them privacy and space during their stay? 🏡

Is there anything in particular your guests appreciate in regards to communication? Share your experiences, tips, and insights by commenting below 👇🏽

@Sophia

Good topic!

We respond to guests'  leads, as to their preferences. It is all about them, of course!

Buongiorno @Sophia ,

I communicate through Airbnb chat, I use Whatsapp only in case guests are not answering and ask them to swith to Airbnb chat 😉

I try to be very helpful and respond to all their requests whether they concern my home or the city of Venice 😍

In my first contact with a guest, I try to find out what is the purpose of their visit and the ages of any children they are bringing. ( I love to leave a special gift like a bottle of wine, a celebratory cake, or sand toys for young children.) I thank them for choosing our home and encourage them to reach out anytime before or during their stay with any questions. I will of course send a check-in note with reminders of house rules upon arrival, and a check-out reminder  and check list the day before they leave. Other than that, I make myself available for any question or issue they might have and respond immediately.

Wow @Linda4499 I'm sure your guests greatly appreciate you going the extra mile and doing such kind gestures. It's the little things that go a long way isn't it? 😍

Once they book I send them a message immediately introducing myself.  I ensure them that I will send them everything they need the day before arrival in order to have a comfortable stay.  A few days before arrival, I ask them what types of food they like and I go out and buy it for them so they don't need to worry about eating out unless they want to.

When guests leave, I reassure them they don't need to clean up after themselves and they can just pack up and go.  After all, they paid a cleaning fee 🙂

Additionally, if they strike up a personal conversation I always engage and try to spread joy and peace when I can.

@Daniel12966 that is very sweet of you to go out of your way and purchase food items that they enjoy 🥖 I bet it's an unexpected surprise for them and it makes them feel like they're at home 😊 This is a wonderful thing to do for guests!
