I had guests
show up on Friday and there plans (unbeknownst to me) were to have a large party at my home and basically take over my home whether I was here or not.
I had a discussion with guests about what is acceptable and how I cannot have additional guests here and guests went off and it became violent. They broke all the house rules and one of the guests completely became violent and lunges at me....had two of the women not held him
back, i May have been seriously hurt.
911 was called and police arrived as guests were quickly gathering things and leaving and police did get to stop one of the vehicles.
this is scary stuff!! I tried all day to get support from Airbnb but they never called me or write back to me. They abandoned me.
please contact me if you wish to join me as this is negligence.
I am sorry to hear what happened to you, and hope that you can recover from this alarming event. What type of assistance were you expecting from Airbnb, and what would be the basis of the suit? It is a booking platform, and has no authority or ability to remove anyone from a host's property. As the owner, you are responsible for allowing people stay or making them leave from the space.
I have submitted items that were damaged and they still have t gotten back to me (it is now 6 days) plus I called Airbnb 5 times for support and they didn’t do one thing to help mitigate the situation that was out of control earlier on but I was honestly outnumbered and intimidated by these people the entire time.
I have very clear house rules. There is no wiggle room. These people did not read them and they invited everyone they wanted over and traipsed around my home like it was their home.
I realized by afternoon that Airbnb was not going to assist me so I had a talk with the person who booked. I was very diplomatic and clear that I cannot have this many people in my home. These people have no reviews.....obviously their first time airbnb-ing, so they needed to understand what my role as a host is and my liability.
they agreed but then basically went on to continue doing whatever they wanted to with total disregard to me.
when more people started to arrive again which appeared to be another party, I tried (diplomatically) to put a stop to it and then they became violent.
i find that Airbnb is negligent in that they do not require all guests to be ID’d. I was supposed to have 4 guests and I never ever figured out who those 4 were. Airbnb need to make this a rule ...get ID’s from everyone and also, licenses for each guest as to where they are from since we are in a pandemic.
also, if Airbnb is going to say “they are here to help” then why did not one Airbnb ambassador, return a call to me or even a message.
no one!! They are negligent!!
@Angela1332 You have already agreed not to launch a class action by listing with Airbnb. You could go to arbitration or small claims but as @Debra300 says - What are you actually claiming for. Remarkably Airbnb don't have a swat team on standby to protect hosts.
Remarkably. And now this POS has written a review. I will give you two chances to guess what Felice will write?!
her review no doubtably will be filled with lies about what a rotten host I am and that they were sweet an innocent guests.
Grrrr...
I had my life threatened with someone (never figured out if it was a guest or not) and it was 8 against 1 of me.
I called 911... I have a case number and I am 100% certain a recording from the 911 operator showing how fearful I was and how these people went totally out of control!
they still haven’t bothered to get back to me on my submitted damages.
this is simply horrible!
@Angela1332 Felice's review seems quite fair and balanced. I urge you not to answer it with the War and Peace version that was your review of her.
