I have just had a booking for March 2023, but i plan to review prices to take effect from Jan 1. The price is likely to increase but i do not know by how much at this point in time. what is the best way of relaying this to potential guests?
I would also suggest you think about setting your availability window in your calendar to only allow bookings six or nine months out or whatever so that you do not get a booking a year in the future.
It is not possible to change price after a booking is confirmed.
If you want to increase prices in 2023, you must update them before people book.
For example: you can apply a ruleset to year 2023 and increase the current prices with a choosen percentage (not working if on Smart Pricing).
Thank you for your guidance. I have now managed to close the calendar from Jan 1. And I plan to reopen it in the autumn when I have a firm price.
regards Chris
@Christopher1397 I don't quite understand. You just set the prices for different seasons or whatever the way you want. When guests input dates, they will see whatever prices are set.
As Emiel said, you can't charge guests more than what the price was when they booked. Your March guests will pay whatever the price was when they booked, you can't tell them they have to pay more.
