Inquiry not possible due to dates no longer available, but calendar is open

I received an inquiry yesterday, but I am unable to pre-approve or decline. Airbnb states that this inquiry is not possible because some or all of the requested dates are no longer available, but they are open and available on my calendar.  I have been waiting on a chat with support for over 2 1/2 hours. Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening?

@Jenny838 Yours is the THIRD post on this subject I've read today!

 

I suspect it's a 'glitch'! - Glitches happen frequently on Airbnb.

 

Do not take it personally if no one is responding to your phone calls... Airbnb recently made 1,900 staff redundant, and hosts & guests have been complaining they can't get service ever since!

I just want to add, if you contact Airbnb through the chat function, that's completely useless, because it's a bot. Had this confirmed to me by 2 guys from the helpline. Don't spoil your time using the chat.

@Jenny838 I'm really sorry to hear you are getting this issue - very frustrating. It sounds like you are getting the same issue as some of our community reported on this thread. We have already spotted this and flagged it with the tech team, and they are working on a fix, so I will update you as soon as we hear more.

Heres the answer off the Grapevine for you:

 

Airbnb's reservation system is currently (August 19, 2020) having some errors. Pre-approvals turn to Not Possible status.

 

Solution: if approved reservation request turns to Not Possible the hosts needs to reply with a Special offer (if you don't update the price, it will remain the same as for the initial request) and the guest should be able to proceed for booking.
