To say that i would be disappointed if Joe Gebbia remains with the board and gets involved in DOGE would be an understatement. DOGE's approach does not align with the AirBnB community standards. Gebbia should resign from the Board as its a true conflict. Interacting honestly, combating hate, harassment and discrimination, and the privacy policies in place with AirBnB and those are not the DOGE approach. Gebbia=gotta go or people (hosts and and guests) will lessen and the stock price will drop. I, for one will never use AirBnB again if Gebbia remains and joins DOGE and I will ensure than none of my family members or friends book either.
Remove him from the Board. Boycott will not hurt him, just the folks who prefer a home to a hotel or rent a room to pay their expenses.
well actually it will as he's a major shareholder so reduced Airbnb revenues and bad PR will affect him @Susan899
Has Airbnb made any statement about this? If he stays on the board I am out of here too.
Agree with the sentiments being expressed here. I have used Airbnb for years for vacation rentals. Until Joe Gebbia is removed from the board, and no longer has stock in the company, I will not rent via Airbnb and will instead use other platforms like VRBO, which I have also previously used. It works well and many hosts cross-posts their listings there as well.
Who should we send a protest letter to for this matter? This action is unacceptabel.

I'm with you. I've had two Airbnb stays in the last month, and both times I'd seen the same apartments listed on Vrbo. I chose to book with Airbnb out of loyalty because I'd used it previously, but I'm grateful to have a choice and will go with Vrbo next time. So long, Airbnb. I won't support a company tied to the ongoing and wanton destruction of our government and democracy.
I wondered about this when I heard the news.
I have liked using the platform but exploring options ... if many guests look elsewhere too, it will be harder to get bookings anyhow.
I have great reviews ,superhost, but business was very slow this winter too
