Just disgusting!  I would like Air BNB to address this issue.  Transparency is key.  As this move would affect my finances (retired teacher) I need all the facts to make my decision.  I read online he retains 7% of the company with no direct involvement in the company.  Will he remove himself from the board?  That is the only way I can be apart of the Air BNB team.

I hope they don't destroy Airbnb like they are rapidly doing Tesla.  This is absolutely unacceptable.  Wait in to a few more quarters come out to see the real damage that has been done to Tesla. In France alone, sales were down 60% in January.  After all of this, would you really trust a Tesla robot running around your home? I was angry enough to sale my Y and my shares in Tesla.  It's much easier to use a different platform, so AirBnb is even more at risk of this backlash growing.  This is a global company that is mixing in a politic that many of us find completely unacceptable.

I'm a renter, and I'm alarmed.  I won't be using airbnb until Gebbia is out of the picture or disavows DOGE/Musk.

I'm sorry about the impact on hosts who rely on their airbnb income; I hope to have the chance to find you on VRBO or elsewhere.

So much so that I noticed a huge drop in my rentals and cancelations. Most of my bookings are now through VRBO/HomeAway.  I've had two more cancelations this week. I'v been a successful host for over 9years with only several weeks open per year and now due to cancelations, I've no guest booked this entire month. It's Scary. I'm meeting with several realtors and taking with my tax advisor to see what my best options are. It's a real shame to see such a respected company join a political team and spit in the faces of the people who put them on the pedestal in which will soon be kicked out from under them by upset patrons.

Not alarmed. Disappointed. Gebbia’s new job doesn’t change my mindset about Airbnb. He is a private citizen and in his right to work where he wants. Airbnb didn’t join DOGE. He did. Just like Musk and his cronies Gebbia doesn’t care how his choice will affect Airbnb. The company needs to make a statement and distance themselves from him. Quickly.
