Joe Gebbia joins DOGE

Hi everyone,

 

Is anyone else concerned that Joe Gebbia has joined DOGE?

 

Does he still earn income from Airbnb as a board member? This makes me very sad as I can't support a guy like that.  I really like the service airbnb provides and the ease of use for a host.

 

Anyone else feel the same way?

What is the response?

 Please remove Joe Gebbia from his board position at airb&b org and pressure him to step down from DOGE or divest himself of his 7% interest in Airbnb. Your continued silence on this matter is unacceptable from a leader. I was about to list as a host and have enjoyed being a traveler but will support alternative platforms even if it costs me massively personally to do so. Gebbia’s support for Musk’s efforts is 100% unacceptable morally. To allow him to continue to chair the board for airb&b org sends a clear message of support for his actions. I understand not wishing to alienate segments of the population. How is that choice working out for Tesla stock?

I'd rather him step down from Airbnb.  He clearly doesn't have the value set that airbnb should be embracing.

 

I am in agreement with others hosts and travelers. I cannot align with a company that is silent regarding their moral obligation to their customers to have board members that support a coup taking over the US. Please remove him ASAP!

Has anyone heard anything back from any emails they sent??

 

I am also going to ask, via my private social media accounts, for people to email airbnb and remove Joe.

I didn’t receive a reply - I sent an email 10 days ago.

I sent my message to Chesky on Feb 19th - a very respectful one saying that I love the Airbnb platform (my 10th season) and I hope that he/they do the right thing with Gebbia's regard.  I have not received a response...Folks should keep emailing and contacting host support. If we demand a response by contacting them in any which way we can, maybe they will address it. I want to stay with Airbnb but will leave if they do not address the matter.

I sent emails on Sunday- no response and unlisted my property temporarily on AirBnB in the hopes of seeing some action on the part of the Board.

I didn’t receive a reply either, as a customer, guest.  Saddens me to move my future accommodations but it’s strictly a matter of principle.  

I've already looked and looked. Can't find any way to contact airbnb and complain about this directly..... 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
