Dear Airbnb team,
first of all, I hope every one of you are staying safe through the corona pandemic. Secondly, I wanted to share with you an idea concerning the tragic incident that happened in Lebanon two days ago that damaged many Lebanese houses and left them homeless on the streets. My idea is based on your Covid-19 responders initiative where you can apply the same concept but for the Lebanese currently residing on the streets.
Thank you and stay safe!
It was so devastating to see what happened to your beautiful country when the chemical explosions in Beirut brought devastation to the city such a tragic loss of life.

Airbnb has an Open Homes programme for those who have lost their homes.
I do hope Airbnb opens it up to those in Beirut who have lost everything
@Nick can you confirm.
Yes, it was a huge devastation to the people of Beirut, and we as citizens are trying all our best to help each other out, and that's why I came up with this initiative in order to help the homeless people that where effected by this explosion.
I hope so too, and thank you for your reply and concern!
Together with the rest of the world I've been in complete shock and feel great sadness regarding what happened in this beautiful city of Lebanon. I've seen the topic and tag earlier today, and although my first thought was about Open Houses as well, I wanted to double-check with our HQ because of the seriousness of the situation. The team is still examining all the different options, trying to see what will be the best course of action on this. Rest assured I'll let you know as soon as I have an update.
Hello . any update on helps for hosts
Hi @Nick
While Airbnb is considering options, can those who have become homeless in Beirut as a result of this tragedy currently use the open homes programme?
Hello @Ramzi16
