Lessons that CS could learn from 6 day war between Israel and Arab Countries

Now before I will start, I have to tell you that I do not represent any of these nations and I love both. Both Israelis and Arabs are the coolest people in the world, I am also a big fan of airbnb, I love the platform and try to host only here, not on other platforms, sending direct bookings even to book via airbnb. Anyways, back to story. If you live under rock as many do nowadays, you probably were not aware about this story that literally changed the course of history. 3 arab countries backed by the USSR decided to declare a war on Israel. Long story short, they had 100 times more manpower, weapons and aviation that Israel did. But the party that attacked first and obviously won the war was Israel. Why? Because nobody in Arab world was expecting Israel to attack first in the early hours of morning. They bombed all the aviation of Arab States and then managed to get additional lands from Egypt and Syria. Why? Because EACH SOLDIER HAD AUTHORITY TO MAKE DECISION ON HIS OWN. Not wait for generals to tell them what to do, as it was in the opposite party which was the main reason for Arabs to take forever to strike back and when they did, it was already too late.

Why I am telling this? Very rear I get a customer support agents that can solve the issue on their own, those guys are superstars and awesome. Most of the time I get agents, that just "escalate" the case and it takes months to get some kind of solution. Now I know that Mrs Powell is reading the forum from time to time. Hope this will get her attention someday. The biggest advantage of airbnb is that it is simple to use. But in CS for some reason all other platforms are offering sameday solutions by each agent and more and more agents on airbnb just "escalate" cases. Please help us, to help you, to help us 🙂

I thought you will say "Let hosts solve the problems by themselves" 🙂

Not the greatest idea to use an analogy using a controversial conflict which is still ongoing

Well it was about solution, not the problem itself.
