Listing suspended

Listing suspended

Have any of you been in this situation at the moment due to refusing guests who are trying to book, under current government guidelines it is stated that no more than two households are allowed to stay over night in accommodation. Even though we have placed on the top of our listing that no more than two households, once you start to have conversations with the guests and you find out they are coming from more than two , we have declined the booking. we have now been suspended due to declining to many guests. We've been in touch with Airbnb and they have said they cant do anything about it, we will need to wait until Saturday and reinstate it. Feel the computer system needs to be taking this into consideration, before make the choice to stop a listing.

Anybody else in the uk had this problem?

If during conversation within a booking request it becomes clear guests are (going to) violating rules, ask them to retract the booking request (instead of declining it yourself). If it is only an inquiry, no obligation to decline, just stop conversation. That way you limit the amouny of declines.
