Long Term Guests

Hi!

I have a 3 month reservation from March 1 to end of May, what are we (hosts) expected to provide during that period of time? Example: my short-term guests have access to teas, coffee, cleaning products, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher and laundry pods, shampoo, soaps, disinfectant.
I have given these long term guests a sizeable discount for that stay, just wondering what we are expecting to continuously provide for them.

Thank you!

 @Claudia2797 It’s up to you to decide what to provide them, how much/how long, but it’s important that you communicate it clearly before they book, so that expectations are understood. I expect you would factor the size of your discount into your calculations.

@Claudia2797,

We have spaces in Atlanta that offer long-term stays with a reduced monthly rate.  We provide enough complimentary and household items that we believe should last for at least one month (even if the booking is for a couple of months, because the guest has only paid for the first month, and sometimes Airbnb has problems with getting subsequent payments.  If the guest decides to extend there stay we offer to replenish things like toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, teas, coffee, laundry and house cleaning supplies.  Sometimes the guests accepts, but other times they've already bought additional items during their stay, and say they don't need anything from us.

Don't just believe what I say, check the Airbnb Help Center

@Claudia2797   I would provide your guests with the items that are available to your short-term guests with the proviso that once gone, the long term guests will have to purchase their own.

As stated by @Colleen253 , what you intend to provide a long term guest with should be in your communication with the guest prior to booking.  When I had long term guests, I had them sign a rental agreement that outlined the items that were included in the property and a schedule as to their replenishment.  It also included a schedule for housekeeping  which was every two weeks for bathrooms, kitchen, vaccum and dust.   Housekeeping took care of all cleaning products.  Bed linens and towels were changed out at the guest's request.  Bathrooms would be restocked (1 on roller, two in cabinet) as if for short term rental.  Kitchen food items were not replenished.  We never offered any personal products beyond hand soap.
