Message "travel restrictions"

I consulted the Help files on Airbnb.com today and the following message shows up at top of page:

I wondered: which recent "travel restrictions" are causing this trouble ?

As the message does not appear at the  Help pages on my local (Dutch) Airbnb website, the issue is probably affecting only customers in the US.

@Emiel1  Longer wait times than usual? So I guess we can figure on about one year now.

I don't think I've ever phoned a customer service number for any company where the recording didn't say they were experiencing a high volume of calls and there would be a longer wait time than usual 🙂

Which begs the question "What would usual be, then?"
