Name asking

hi my airbnb host ask me for my guest name is that

normal i never been ask before

what it for do they do background Check  to Check any law problem or they just do it like that

@Walou1  There's nothing wrong with a host asking for the names of the guests. It would be odd for someone to let strangers whose names they didn't even know rent their home, don't you think?

Would you let someone who wouldn't even tell you their name stay in your home?

And what do you mean, you've never been asked before? You have a blank profile with no reviews, no profile photo, and nothing listed but an email address. Most hosts wouldn't rent to you at all with such an anonymous profile.
