New Policy: Hosts Pay RELOCATION Costs

New Policy: Hosts Pay RELOCATION Costs

If you accepted the new Terms of Service recently, then you agreed to pay guests' relocation costs in the case of a "travel issue".

4.2 If you are a Host, and if (i) Airbnb determines that a Guest has suffered a Travel Issue related to an Accommodation listed by you and (ii) Airbnb either reimburses that Guest (up to their Total Fees) or provides an alternative Accommodation to the Guest, you agree to reimburse Airbnb up to the amount paid by Airbnb within 30 days of Airbnb’s request.

Is there a cap on this?

What happens if a guest makes a claim (especially a false one) on Christmas Day and the only suite available in town is $1000 a night? We get to pay?

I think the removed that policy last April, right? Read here:

Scroll down to 4.2 in the link

@Stephanie1275  That’s the old policy. The first sentence on the page explains that the new policy replaces it.

What were the updated Terms and Conditions we were agreeing to in the app?

Looks like I got confused and thought the old policy was in fact the updated terms of service
