Hello everyone,
A warm welcome to the Community Center.
This discussion is for introducing yourself to your fellow Airbnb Community members, as well as welcoming and saying hello to newcomers in return. Thanks to all of you who have already introduced yourself and contributed in our previous thread, here.
I'm Lizzie and I am the Community Manager here, along with my teammate @Quincy. I have been managing the Airbnb Community Center since it officially opened in November 2015. It is fantastic to speak with amazing community members here.
To kickstart this topic, I would like to share a few things about myself:
How about you? Any interesting facts or hobbies?
I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Lizzie

Hi Everyone my name is Ashley Tafara Maramwidze from Africa in Zimbabwe and I'm just new here. I look forward to learn more about Airbnb's business side.
Thank you!
I want to understand about what is expected of me to become a sort after host. What should be in my rooms or house eg amenities, food and etc. Is it all expected?
Hello,
Happy to introduce ourselves;
Tresha and Len from Johannesburg, South Africa. We are fairly new to Airbnb and are just finding out about this group for hosts. We are happy to be hosts of airbnb and have just recently purchased our home. Our property is on in the Western Cape Garden Route, Plettenberg Bay. We rent out a unit that is fully equipped and located with exceptional views and close to the beach. Our property is very tranquil and our guests can enjoy Nature Reserves, Swimming, Fishing, Kayaking and Beach activities. Amazing restaurants to enjoy and views that are spectacular.
We both enjoy meeting new guests.
Thanks ,
Tresha and Len
Hello, my name is Paul, and I live in Houston, Texas (United States). I have started residing in Airbnb units last September as a University of Houston student. I originally intended it only for short-term housing until I could find permanent arrangements. However, I found that through Airbnb, I can live in housing arrangements, such as townhomes, that I could otherwise not afford to live in. I am a bachelor of science in liberal studies (liberal arts) major at the University of Houston, with an emphasis in foreign languages, music theory, and pre-medical studies - in the U.S., those wishing to become physicians must undertake a bachelors degree first before attending medical studies proper. My goal is to be a physician with an emphasis in performing arts medicine.
I have joined the Airbnb community center because I am interested in becoming a co-host in order to make extra cash. My relevant skills include serving serving with the University of Texas at San Antonio Dining Services in 2016, opening and closing shop, including clean up duties. I also have experience working conventions.
I had an error in posting in the messenger and had my account blocked, cancelled or suspended. How can we get back to this with AirBnB to avoid any inconvenience toi our future / immediate guests/ Can anyone direct us to one of the account mab=nagers to be able and resolve thi issue ASAP?
Thank you
Hello fellow Airbnb'er's,
I'm Rick from Middle TN and I have a room that I rent occasionally via Airbnb to guests as they either hike the area, or attend music events at a nearby venue.
Glad to be in here with you all.
Hi!
My name is Christina and I’m newish to AirBnB. My husband and I used AirBnB for travel for a year or two and then we decided to hop on board with hosting because we enjoyed it so much! We moved to Colorado Springs in August of 2018 and started hosting on March 2019. We’ve absolutely enjoyed it so far! We currently just host private rooms, but I would absolutely love to eventually host full private homes if we get the chance!
Some things about us -
1. My husband and I are high school sweethearts. We started “dating” at age 14, got engaged at 18, and now have been married for 7 years.
2. We love to travel! We wish we could travel more often. We’ve been to Europe twice (including Italy, Greece, Ireland, Austria, and Germany), and we are heading to Asia in November! Our goal is to travel to each continent, even including Antarctica, unless we change our mind on that one, haha.
3. We have two small dogs that are absolutely cute and also hypoallergenic.

Evening all
We are Julie & Mark and we have a holiday flat in Dawlish, Devon. It's also our home but we let it out most of the year to fund our Motorhome travels around Europe..
This is our first year. Loving the fact people love our home by the sea..
I'm sure the info and experience you all have will be invaluable..
Hello

I am the creator - host of "Older and Wiser Ladies" radio program. The original program is on Blog Talk Radio. The new program will be on WRUU Community Radio Savannah, GA in the near future.
We are new to Savannah. We moved here in December 2018.
Hi everyone. I'm Sue and live in upstate NY. I started renting my "future retirement home" in 2018. The house overlooks beautiful Seneca Lake and is convenient to wine, brew & cheese trails located in the Finger Lakes. I cater to small groups (preferably 4 people or less) and DOGS. Since I have 3 dogs of my own and foster for various other sighthound groups, I can appreciated having a place that allows multiples. So far, all my guests have been responsible and appreciative of the amenities I offer. I have been pleased with Airbnb and my guests :-). I hope to gain some additional exposure by having a custom web address and appreciate the advice given in the forums.
I'm Jacinth and I have suddenly realized my dream of becoming an AirBNB host. I've had one excellent experience as a guest and one unspeakably terrible one. These experiences will help me to either hit the happy medium or surpass expectations. I am looking forward to growing this endeavour while working as a member of the AirBNB team.
Hey everyone. I am an airbnb host that finds this community to be great! One service I feel i really valuable for me is www.boltlaundry.com. It is a laundry delivery company that is a life saver when becoming an airbnb host.
Hi All - My wife Sandi and I are so excited to begin offering our new home in Sedona, AZ. We've done a bit of hosting, back in Massachusetts and really loved it! We're just putting the final touches on our home out here in Sedona. We'll have a house and a "Casita" for our caretaker. We are a few years away from retirement, so this place is primarily for income, but have decided we'll have to make a least a few trips annually for "research". When our listing goes up, we'd love to get some feedback on the text and pictures!
