Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca  and @Elisa  and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.

Since you've just started hosting, do you have any specific questions related to hosting that you'd like to ask other Hosts by starting a new conversation?

I am Clayton. I was born in Toronto, Ont. Canada. I live about half the year in Cleveland, Ohio and the ret of the year in Punta Gorda, FL. Being a snowbird It made sence to me to rent out my Fl home durning the off season. It will be a learning process for me. My first two guest were great but problems with the third caused to rethink renting.

Hi Everyone, all over the world! Wow - what a community! 

I am Micaela, from California US and still from there! I enjoy traveling but seldom am able to do so, hope to change that soon. I am an artist and love painting along the coast as well as rural locations. The foggy coast of California is looking better and better these days, with all the wildfires inland, and I am enjoying my country location very much - a little sun, a little fog, and clean air, and great places to hike.

I have also been to Kerala - very beautiful. I was sorry to hear of the recent floods.

Hmm - next place - maybe southern France or Spain. I had thought of India, but definitely would need another painter & native guide for that!

Thank you @Bhumika ! Well, I'm a bit behind in getting some paintings to a gallery, but I have two up, and plan to add a few more. 

Two things I'm wondering about, though:

1 - what if a guest or a guest of a guest took a painting with them when they left?

2 - I'm curious if anyone adds paintings on to their walls which are for sale?

Hi, I am from Toronto, Canada. I am new to the Airbnb hosting role. I have been a guest for the last 12 years and finally have the confidence to become a host. By profession, I am an elementary school teacher and have been for the last 17 years. I am a single dad with two young boys, aged 7 and 6, who always keep me busy and laughing. I like to ride my e-bike in most places, drive on long road trips and eat chocolate or banana ice cream. My current hobby is learning to play a musical instrument. That instrument is the bass guitar.

Hi Community! My husband and I are new to hosting. I’m originally from NY and live In Virginia. We are hosting a lake front property in Lale Anna Virginia about 1.5 hours away from where we live. I’m an avid triathlete and busy with our three kids sports schedules. - Melissa
