New to the Community Center? Introduce yourself here ‌👇

Hello everyone! 😊

Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca  and @Elisa  and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.

@Bhumika 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.

Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Warm regards,

Bhumika

Hello, I'm Oscar 🇫🇷! I’m originally from France but have spent a lot of time in Texas 🤠. I've been an Airbnb host in Austin for over a year now 🏡. I love learning about different cultures 🌍, playing soccer , and enjoying great food 🍽️. Austin is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway—downtown has some of the best views 🌆 and plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops all within a few blocks 🍻🛍️.

Bonjour @Oscar1288

Welcome to the community! 😊

Thank you for your introduction. I lived in France before, which city are you from?

What’s the best part of being a host for you? 😍

Warm regards🌻,

@Elisa Hi I'm Chris. I live in Penticton British Columbia Canada.

I am so new that I haven't even completed my registration. What I do like so far is to being part of an organization where you look after one another and assist each other towards creating a great experience for whomever chooses our properties to rent

Hi @Christopher-Michael-Creighton0

welcome to the community😊

I am living in Canada as well and I definitely need to visit British Columbia! 😍

Can you tell me more about this project?

Warm regards🌻,

Hi Elisa.

I am just setting out the account for renting my one bedroom condo on the 7th floor of Lakeshore Towers in Penticton. It's a lovely condominium community with many many amenities. Almost like living in a resort except private.

I have not been able to list it yet as I am having trouble being able to enter parts of the required information. The postal code in particular. I can't enter a Canadian address because it thinks I'm in the USA. The keyboard that is displayed only has numbers no letters. And the app won't let me go past the postal code because it is a required field. You wouldn't happen to know a way around this would you? Technical support has not been able to help so far. Take care and thanks

Hi all, noobies here in Alaska. We were told very emphatically to stay away from Airbnb, but needing to pay bills, we took the plunge and it has been super-fun! More fun than we expected, so now we're kind of getting in deep, which is what brought me to these forums, to educate myself more. How to make this a successful venture to possibly open a couple more.

I thank you in advance for any education or advice you can share that would make this even more fun than it already is!

Thank you Airbnb,

AB
